Holiday Harvest Gala will benefit Meals on Wheels

The 2nd Annual Holiday Harvest Gala has become a signature event for the Lowcountry’s premier networking organization committed to providing quality services to seniors, caregivers, and adult children – Lowcountry Senior Network. Located at the picturesque Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park in the footprint of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, this event will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 6 PM – 9 PM.

The fundraising event will benefit Charleston Area Senior Citizens - Meals on Wheels of Charleston, in addition to serving the many local residents currently on the waiting list to receive services. Through a network of dedicated staff and sustained by giving volunteers, Meals on Wheels America not only provides a nutritious meal, but also a friendly visit and a safety check that helps keep seniors living independently in their own homes from the Cooper River to the Edisto.

This year's evening to remember will be filled with live music, and special performances by Charleston’s own Ann Caldwell and Roger Bellow in theCooper River Room where guests will have a chance to mingle, wine and dine with the Franke at Seaside Continuing Care Retirement Community's culinary team, bid on one of a kind raffle and silent auction items, and step outside to enjoy the breathtaking views.

Charleston Area Senior Citizens, a non-profit organization established in 1967, provides opportunities for older persons to pursue mutual interests, receive services and participate in programs and services which will enhance their dignity, improve their health, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in the community. Additionally, CASC operates a multi-purpose senior center in downtown Charleston offering health and wellness programs, recreational activities, and educational opportunities.
